The name might not ring a bell but you’ve definitely heard Miss Paula Flynn sing

Do you remember the beautiful Lets Dance add of Ballygowan? Did you know that not much later this particular version of David Bowie’s ‘Lets Dance’ went straight to the top in the Irish charts? Do you recognise this beautiful voice? Indeed, the puzzle is coming together, Miss Paula Flynn is the Ballygowan sparkling girl.

After the success of this single, she received several offers to release an album, but Miss Paula Flynn had other plans.  She persisted in first finishing her Degree in Communications before even thinking about releasing a full album.  Only after graduating from university did she dive into the studio to start working on her solo debut album which was released in September 2009.

Miss Paula Flynn creates beautifully delicate folk songs with a personal and reflective touch. The lyrics are often full of references to nature and her roots in Armagh. With her delicate voice and the amazing musical compositions she creates her own unique style and sound.

Droichead is delighted to welcome Miss Paula Flynn in the venue in Stockwell Street on Friday the 9th of April. This quirky lady has talent and she will surely captivate us all.
